Ingredients for M&M's Peanut, Milk Chocolate Candies
- Rolled oats : 1/4 Cup
- Pitted dates : 2
- Raw almonds : 1/2 Cup
- Roasted salted peanuts : 1/2 Cup
- Roasted peanut butter : 1/2 Cup
- Dark chocolate : 1 Cup
Instructions
-
1 Direction to make M&M's Peanut, Milk Chocolate Candies
- 1 In a food processor, combine the oats and pulse until small pieces remain. Then add dates and repeat the process until only small parts remain. Set aside after removing from the processor.
- 2 Next, add the almonds and peanuts to the food processor and process until they form a meal, a few small bits are fine.
- 3 Then, add the peanut butter and pulse until well blended. Then stir in the dates and oats until the mixture resembles a loose dough. Add more oats if it appears too wet to manage. Add a couple more dates if it seems too dry.
- 4 Scoop up small amounts of dough and roll them into small round balls (approx. 1/2 teaspoon). Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm.
- 5 Melt your dark chocolate in 30 second intervals over a double boiler or in the microwave at the 25-minute mark. Then, coat the cookies in small batches. Only take 5 M&Ms out of the freezer at a time to dip.
- 6 Drop cookies into the chocolate one at a time, flip once, pick up with a fork or your finger, and tap on the rim of the bowl to remove extra chocolate. A little excess is acceptable. Place back on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer to solidify.
- 7 Untill all the peanuts are done, repeat the process. Your home made M&M's peanuts are ready to serve.
