Ingredients

  • Ingredients for fresh homemade Wendy's Chili, small
    • Ground Beef: 1/2 Pound
    • Onion, chopped: 1 small
    • Green bell pepper, chopped: 1 small
    • celery stalk, chopped: 1
    • Diced Tomatoes, undrained: 1 can (14.5 ounces)
    • Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed: 1 Can (15 ounces)
    • Pinto beans, drained and rinsed: 1 Can (15 ounces)
    • Beef broth: 1 Cup
    • Chili powder: 2 Teaspoons
    • Cumin: 1 Teaspoon
    • Paprika: 1 Teaspoon
    • Garlic powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
    • Onion powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
    • Cayenne Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
    • Salt and pepper: As per taste
    • Shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • 1 Direction To prepare Wendy's Chili, small At home
    • 1 In a large pot or Dutch oven, sauté the ground beef over medium heat until it is fully cooked and browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
    • 2 Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and celery to the pot. Allow the vegetables to cook for approximately 5 minutes, or until they have become tender.
    • 3 Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
