Ingredients for fresh homemade Wendy's Chili, small
- Ground Beef: 1/2 Pound
- Onion, chopped: 1 small
- Green bell pepper, chopped: 1 small
- celery stalk, chopped: 1
- Diced Tomatoes, undrained: 1 can (14.5 ounces)
- Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed: 1 Can (15 ounces)
- Pinto beans, drained and rinsed: 1 Can (15 ounces)
- Beef broth: 1 Cup
- Chili powder: 2 Teaspoons
- Cumin: 1 Teaspoon
- Paprika: 1 Teaspoon
- Garlic powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1/2 Teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper: As per taste
- Shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions for topping (optional)

1 Direction To prepare Wendy's Chili, small At home
- 1 In a large pot or Dutch oven, sauté the ground beef over medium heat until it is fully cooked and browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- 2 Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and celery to the pot. Allow the vegetables to cook for approximately 5 minutes, or until they have become tender.
- 3 Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- 4 Season with salt and pepper to taste. Thoroughly mix to blend all the ingredients together.
- 5 Heat the chili until it boils, and then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cover and let the chili simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- 6 Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more chili powder or cayenne pepper for extra heat.
